Padel in Klagenfurt

Klagenfurt made a huge leap in 2026 — from 3 to 12 courts. Carinthia now has one of Austria's most modern padel halls.

Padel in Klagenfurt — Carinthia Steps Up

Klagenfurt became Carinthia’s padel hotspot in 2026. With the opening of Arena ONE in March 2026, the city’s court count jumped from 3 to 12 — a massive leap. The provincial capital now offers one of Austria’s most modern padel halls alongside an established outdoor venue with a strong community.

Arena ONE Klagenfurt

Südring 211, 9020 Klagenfurt am Wörthersee → Book now via Wansport

Carinthia’s largest and most modern padel facility. 9 courts — 6 indoor and 3 outdoor — in a purpose-built hall on the Südring. Arena ONE was built in the former Jump World One space and designed from the ground up as a professional padel centre with its own academy.

What you get:

  • 6 indoor + 3 outdoor courts
  • Padel: 08:00–22:00 daily
  • Book via Wansport app (digital reservation, cost splitting, free cancellation up to 48h)
  • Café/bistro (breakfast, snacks, warm meals)
  • Macron shop (rackets, balls, apparel, rental equipment)
  • Physiotherapy, massage, osteopathy
  • Seminar and event space
  • Carinthia’s first padel academy (beginners through to competitive players, school partnerships)

Best for: Arena ONE is a dedicated padel centre — not a tennis club with courts bolted on. If you want serious training, professional academy coaching, or simply the best indoor facilities in Carinthia, this is the place. The 6 indoor courts make it playable year-round.

Pricing: From €10/person (weekdays before 16:00, 4 players). Evenings and weekends €12/person. Current rates via Wansport.

Sportunion Klagenfurt — Padel Tennis Center Wörthersee

Universitätsstraße 100a, 9020 Klagenfurt am Wörthersee → Book now on eTennis

Klagenfurt’s padel pioneer — operating since 2021. Three outdoor courts near the university with one of the most active padel communities in all of Carinthia.

What you get:

  • 3 outdoor courts (quartzite sand surface, glass and mesh walls)
  • Opening hours: 07:00–22:30 daily
  • Racket rental available (€5/racket/hour, pick up at tennis hall buffet)
  • 4 competitive teams (3 men’s, 1 women’s — Austrian Bundesliga and Styrian leagues)
  • WhatsApp community for finding playing partners
  • Regular tournaments for all skill levels + corporate events
  • Head coach: Hannes Zienitzer (certified padel trainer)
  • 2 additional courts planned (building permit submitted early 2026)

Best for: If you’re looking for community, Sportunion delivers. The WhatsApp group, regular tournaments and four competitive teams create a genuine padel scene. The membership (€330/year, 4 free hours/week) pays off for frequent players. The fact that membership is capped at 150 tells you demand is there.

Pricing: Before 16:00: €24/hour. From 16:00: €32/hour. Racket rental €5, balls €7.
